MADISON - St. Norbert College traveled to Wisconsin's capital city and picked up an 8-1 win over Edgewood College in a non-conference match at the University of Wisconsin's Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
The Green Knights (10-6) won for the sixth time in their last seven duals and can clinch at least a share of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular-season championship with a win over Marian University at 1 p.m. Sunday at Green Bay Tennis Center.
St. Norbert picked up two doubles wins against the Eagles.
Brett Daniels and
Adam Stacho turned in an 8-2 victory over Caden Nelson and Andrew Hoffmann at No. 1.
Anthony Michels and
Brian Coulter blanked Alton Robinson and Ethan Towne at No. 3.
Daniels earned a 6-2, 6-1 win over Nelson at No. 1 singles, while Stacho followed with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Brady Wierzbicki at No. 2. Michels topped Hoffmann 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3. Coulter outlasted Bradley Erickson 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 4, with
David Vandenberg besting Robinson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.
Josh Brown closed out St. Norbert's sweep of singles matches with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Towne at No. 6.
