EAU CLAIRE - St. Norbert College faced UW-Eau Claire in a non-conference doubleheader and was swept by scores of 12-4 and 13-0 at Bollinger Fields.
St. Norbert opened the first game by scoring two runs in the top of the first inning, with
Addison Race plating a pair of runs with a single. Eau Claire responded with one run in the first and three in the second. The Green Knights cut their deficit to 4-3 in the third inning on a
Lilly Haase RBI single. The game stayed that way until Eau Claire scored seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. St. Norbert scored a run in the fifth when
Christina Paleka's grounder brought home
Abby Radtke. Eau Claire scored a run in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.
Race and
Nicole Condon were each 2-for-2, with Race adding a double. Haase and Allsion Ardito were both 2-for-3. Race took the loss in the circle, allowing six earned runs in 3 1/3 innings pitched.
In the nightcap, the Green Knights were held to one hit, a second-inning single by Haase.
