AUBURNDALE, Fla. - St. Norbert College had a 5-0 lead but ultimately fell 6-5 to North Park University at Lake Myrtle Park.
The Green Knights took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on
Carson Krumrei's groundout that plated
Tommy Sheehan. St. Norbert added three runs in the third, with
Caden Uhlenbrauck getting an RBI single and two more runs scoring on a throwing error for a 4-0 lead. St. Norbert scored its fifth run in the fourth on a
Jaden Holgado RBI single.
North Park got three runs on four hits in the sixth to get to within 4-3 and then a three-run home run by Justin Swanson in the eighth to pull ahead.
St. Norbert finished with nine hits, getting two each from Holgado,
Sebastien Dubois and
Devin Geary. St. Norbert starter
Cole Bzdawka worked 5 2/3 innings and allowed seven hits and three runs on three walks and two strikeouts.
Grady Brick took the loss, allowing four hits and three runs with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings.
St. Norbert wraps up its Florida trip at 9 a.m. EDT Saturday against SUNY-Canton.
