MILWAUKEE - St. Norbert College won for the ninth-consecutive outing with a 76-31 win over Alverno College in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Reiman Gym.
The Green Knights (17-3, 13-0 NACC) found themselves trailing early when Alverno scored on its first two possessions to take a 5-0 lead. St. Norbert trailed 7-2 moments later before going on a 10-0 run to take control for good. 
Chloe Gruszynski finished a fast break layup and 
Emma Morrisey followed with a fast break layup of her own and then canned a 3-pointer. 
Taylor Thiry split a pair of free throws and 
Rose Hahn finished at the basket for a 12-7 lead with 3:48 left in the first quarter. St. Norbert led 16-10 at the end of 10 minutes.
For the second-straight game, St. Norbert held its opponent without a field goal in the second quarter to pull away, this time outscoring the Inferno 22-1 in the period. The Green Knights opened the stanza on a 17-0 run. 
Kaycee Gierczak opened the quarter with three-straight baskets. 
Natalie Cerrato finished off the run with a jumper and 3-pointer for a 33-10 lead with 2:31 left. Another Cerrato trey sent the Green Knights into the locker room with a 38-11 halftime lead.
Things continued to escalate quickly in the second half, with the Green Knights building a 56-16 lead. Hahn's triple gave St. Norbert a 59-16 lead after three quarters. St. Norbert eventually led by 49 points twice in the fourth quarter.
St. Norbert shot 51.7 percent (30-for-58) from the floor. Morrisey had 12 points, while Cerrato had 11 points and six rebounds. Gierczak had 10 points.
Alverno shot 28.3 percent (13-for-46) from the floor and committed 27 turnovers. Morgan Whitten led the Inferno with nine points.
