FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College wrapped up its five-game road trip to start the season with a 5-0 win over Marian University in a non-conference game at Blue Line Family Ice Center.
The Green Knights (4-1) won their fourth-straight game after a loss in the opener and comes home to host Trine University in a two-game Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series this Friday and Saturday at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
St. Norbert outshot Marian 50-18, including 16-3 in the first period and 20-9 in the second period.
Alexa Morrow's goal just 2:04 into the game gave St. Norbert a 1-0 lead it would carry into first intermission. The Green Knights doubled their lead when
Natalie Hogan registered a power-play goal at 7:49 of the second period. St. Norbert added another goal at 17:35 of the second when
Lexi Bonfe put the Green Knights up three.
Bonfe scored again at 4:36 of the third period, and
Kelsey Ross closed out the scoring with a goal with 1:25 remaining.
Bonfe finished with three points on two goals and one assist. Ross had two points on one goal and one assists, while
Morgan Olson finished with two points on a pair of helpers.
Ashley Ommen registered the shutout for St. Norbert with an 18-save performance. Abby Okon made 45 stops for the Sabres.
St. Norbert was 1-for-3 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-3.
