DE PERE - St. Norbert College registered its third consecutive shutout with a 5-0 win over Trine University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights (5-1, 3-0 NCHA) won their fifth-straight game after dropping its season opener.
St. Norbert got on the board twice in the latter stages of the first period to take a 2-0 lead.
Courtnie Hogan scored her sixth goal of the season at 14:33, while
Jo Mahlum banged home her second goal of the year at 17:57.
The Green Knights put 23 shots on goal in the second period but couldn't crack the scoring column. St. Norbert got its third goal when
Grace Wittkopf scored at 7:15 of the third period.
Lexi Bonfe put home a rebound at 9:16 for a 4-0 lead, while
Morgan Olson closed out the scoring at 13:43.
Hogan had one goal and one assist for two points.
Natalie Hogan,
Kelsey Ross and
Allison Jacobsen all had two assists apiece for multi-point games.
St. Norbert outshot Trine 51-14.
Brynn Waisman made nine saves in the first two periods and
Ashley Ommen made five stops in the third period for the Green Knights. Ella Park made 46 stops for the Thunder.
The Green Knights were 0-for-1 on the power play, while the Thunder was 0-for-3.
