DE PERE - St. Norbert College couldn't stop a red-hot Illinois Institute of Technology and dropped a 92-76 decision in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

St. Norbert took a 2-0 lead and forced a pair of IIT turnovers on its first two possessions, but it was all Scarlet Hawks for the rest of the first half. IIT made nine of its first 10 field-goal attempts to build a 24-6 lead with 11:21 left in the half, a bulge that eventually opened up to 30-9 at the 8:59 mark. The Green Knights would get to within 13 before trailing 49-32 at halftime.

The Green Knights opened the second half on a 12-2 run to get to within 51-44 with 16:03 remaining. St. Norbert trailed 55-48 with 13:42 to go, but Illinois Tech hit a pair of 3-pointers sandwiched around a basket to take a 63-48 lead with 12:06 to go. St. Norbert wouldn't get closer than 13 points until the final two minutes and never got it back to single digits the rest of the way.

St. Norbert shot 39.1 percent (25-for-64) from the floor. Carter Gebler had 13 points, while Garrett Grzesk had 12 points. Brandt Wilson and Derek Shaw had 10 points apiece.

Illinois Tech shot 60.9 percent (28-for-46) for the game and 12-for-20 (60 percent) from beyond the three-point arc while also making 24 of 29 (82.8 percent) free-throw attempts. Desmond Price had 25 points, Dario Biaggi 22 points and Andrew Veon had 19 points and 11 rebounds.
