DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a third-period goal from Kelsey Ross and that was enough to tip Marian University 2-1 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

Ross scored her fifth goal of the season when she snapped a 1-1 tie at 7:28 of the third period off assists from Morgan Olson and Lexi Bonfe. The goal held up the rest of the way, including 49 seconds of extra-attacker time for Marian at the end of the game.

Following a scoreless first period, Marian's Allie Kieffer scored at 13:00 of the second period. The Green Knights didn't take long to respond, with Briar Charchenko getting an unassisted marker at 14:54.

St. Norbert outshot Marian 44-23. Ashley Ommen made 22 saves for the Green Knights, while Kayla Kolpitcke made 42 saves for the Sabres.

The Green Knights were 0-for-4 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-2.
