FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College posted a season-high goal total with a 6-2 win over Marian University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Blue Line Family Ice Center.
The Green Knights (5-3, 4-1 NCHA) wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, with
Adam Stacho scoring his seventh goal of the season just 1:49 in. St. Norbert doubled its lead at the 6:22 mark when
Calvin Hanson scored at 6:22 for a marker that would hold up into first intermission.
Bryan Gilman registered his first collegiate goal just 55 seconds into the second period to give the Green Knights a 3-0 lead. Marian would get a goal back when Nolan Kadachuk scored at 6:05, but
Ian Famulak responded with an unassisted marker at 10:03.
Liam Fraser then banged home a power-play goal at 15:50 to give St. Norbert a 5-1 lead after two periods.
Marian's Jaymes Knee scored at 3:38 of the third period, but
Logan Dombrowsky scored a shorthanded goal with 2:12 remaining to close out the scoring.
Dombrowsky had three assists to go with his goal for a four-point game. Fraser added two assists with his goal for a three-point night. Gilman and Stacho each had assists to finish with two-point games.
St. Norbert outshot Marian 32-25.
Hunter Garvey made 23 saves for the Green Knights, while Aaron Brunn made 21 stops for Marian in 36 minutes while Thomas Lemire made five saves in relief.
St. Norbert was 1-for-5 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-1.
