ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College opened its season with a 5-0 setback to Hamline University in a non-conference game at TRIA Rink.
Following a scoreless first period, the Pipers broke the game open with a four-goal second stanza. Sydney Lemke scored goals at 3:01 and 11:44, the latter marker a power-play score. Annika Lindgren scored at 13:28 and Ashley Grabau at 16:13 for a 4-0 lead.
Hamline scored the game's final goal with two seconds remaining on a Haley Eder-Zdechlik score.
Hamline outshot St. Norbert 29-14.
Brynn Waisman made 24 saves for the Green Knights, while Olivia Rinzel made 14 stops for the Pipers.
St. Norbert was 0-for-2 on the power play, while Hamline was 1-for-1.
