DE PERE - St. Norbert College poured in five second-half goals as a 1-0 halftime lead ruptured into a 6-0 win over Edgewood College in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (8-6-3, 7-3-2 NACC) hope to carry that momentum into the post-season and will host a NACC Tournament quarterfinal match against Wisconsin Lutheran College at 4 p.m. Saturday at Schneider Stadium.

The match was scoreless until late in the first half. Jack Swicionis' shot from 15 yards out hit the crossbar and went in after getting set up from passes by Kevin Ramirez and Luke Behring. The goal at 40:47 was Swicionis' first of the season.

St. Norbert doubled its lead at 57:31 when Stjepan Peharda scored off a Ramirez assist when he tapped in his third goal of the season from close range. The Green Knights put the game out of reach moments later, when Tyler Bonin's shot to the far post was true at 59:41 for his ninth goal of the year. Charlie Danaher assisted.

The Green Knights pumped in three more goals in the final 20 minutes. Anthony Elert scored his second goal of the year off assists from William Jens and Neitzke after completing a passing combination in the penalty area at 72:12. Payton Schilz followed with a goal at 78:03 with a side kick following a Willem van den Akker service. Schilz converted again, scoring his second goal of the year at 85:18 off helpers from van den Akker and Neitzke on another nifty passing sequence.

St. Norbert outshot Edgewood 13-2 and held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks. Nate Jocz, Zach Holmstrom and Adan Martinez-Ponce combined to make one save in goal for the Green Knights.
