Green Knights Salvage Tie With Penalty Kick

DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a penalty-kick goal in the final two minutes and was able to gain a 1-1 tie with first-place Milwaukee School of Engineering in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Schneider Stadium.

St. Norbert (7-5-3, 6-2-2 NACC) got the penalty chance when Tyler Bonin was hauled down in the box with 1:59 remaining. A foul was whistled and Joe Meade converted the ensuing penalty kick for his 11th goal of the year. The opportunity came about five minutes after Bonin had a quality scoring chance just miss wide of the far post.

MSOE scored the match's first goal when Tanner Cellio cashed in a penalty-kick opportunity of his own at 66:45.

The Raiders held a 17-10 edge on shots and held an 11-0 edge in penalty kicks.

Ryan Fleming made eight saves for the Green Knights, while Asher Harris made four stops for the raiders.
