RIVER FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College romped to its largest margin of victory this season with a 6-0 win over Concordia University Chicago in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Concordia Stadium.
The Green Knights had 29 players see action as four different players scored goals.
St. Norbert got off to a good start when it scored on a Concordia own goal just 3:04 into the match.
Tyler Bonin doubled the Green Knights' lead when he scored off a
Joe Meade assist at the 14:01 mark. Meade then scored a goal of his own at 22:09 off a
Kevin Ramirez assist, Meade's eighth goal of the season. Bonin scored just 59 seconds with
Jonathan Hill assisting, good for Bonin's sixth goal of the year. St. Norbert carried a 4-0 lead into halftime.
The Green Knights scored twice in the second half.
Peter Straus scored onoff an
Aditya Kalasur assist at 78:01, while
Luke Behringer scored unassisted at 88:32. It was Straus' and Behringer's first goals of the season.
St. Norbert outshot Concordia 23-4. Bonin and
John OConnor had three shots each.
Three goalkeepers split time between the posts for the Green Knights.
Ryan Fleming worked the first 32:04, followed by
Zach Holmstrom in the next 33:16, while
Adan Martinez-Ponce finished up in the last 24:40.
