DE PERE - St. Norbert College continued its unbeaten start to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association season with a 3-0 win over Marian University at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights, now 15-3-3 overall and 11-0-1 in the NCHA, swept the home-and-home series against the Sabres, which started with a 2-1 victory Friday in Fond du Lac.
Following a scoreless first period,
Kelsey Ross put St. Norbert ahead at 1:26, scoring her 11th goal of the season. The Green Knights doubled their lead when
Natalie Hogan pumped in her 13th goal of the year with a marker at 15:58.
St. Norbert salted the game away with a power-play goal from
Gabby Holtz with 1:54 remaining in the third period.
Ross had an assist on Holtz's goal for a two-point game.
St. Norbert outshot Marian 52-22.
Evi Johnson made 22 saves for the Green Knights, while Kayla Kolpitcke turned away 49 shots for the Sabres.
The Green Knights were 1-for-3 on the power play, while Marian was 0-for-2.
