NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Norbert College picked up its first win of the season when it shutout St. Olaf College 1-0 in a non-conference match at Rolf Mellby Field.
The Green Knights scored the only goal of the match when
Haley Leadingham scored at the 34:58 mark. Leadingham took a cross from
Abby Thompson and finished for her first goal of the season.
St. Norbert held off the Oles in the second half, with the home team outshooting the Green Knights 9-2 in the final 45 minutes of play. St. Olaf outshot St. Norbert 16-7 for the game. Each team had two corner kicks.
Thompson had three of St. Norbert's seven shots, while Mallor Names added two saves.
Carlene Goral made three saves to earn the win between the posts, working the final 65 minutes of the match.
Lilly Collins made one stop for the Green Knights in 25 minutes.
