St. Norbert Stopped by Benedictine

DE PERE - St. Norbert College couldn't generate much offense against Benedictine University, dropping a pair of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference games by scores of 10-0 and 15-0 at Van Alstine Field at Mel Nicks Sports Complex.

St. Norbert had three hits in the opener, while Benedictine banged out five extra-base hits. Isaac Gerhardt doubled for the Green Knights, while Trevor Reinhardt took the loss as the starting pitcher by allowing six runs in 2 2/3 innings pitched.

In the nightcap, St. Norbert had just two hits against Benedictine left-hander Stephen Sewruk, who struck out 15 in a complete-game effort. Luke Steebs took the loss for the Green Knights.

St. Norbert hosts Concordia University Wisconsin at Noon Saturday in a key NACC Doubleheader at Van Alstine Field.
