ADRIAN, Mich. - St. Norbert College opened up its final series of the regular season with a 2-1 loss to Adrian College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Arrington Ice Arena.
The Green Knights (17-7, 11-4 NCHA) have now had all four league losses this season come by one goal.
Both teams skated to a scoreless first period but Adrian (17-6-1, 14-1) jumped ahead with a pair of goals in the second period. Kaleigh Cadorette scored at 12:07 of the period, followed by a Karmen Anderson goal at 18:54. The Bulldogs carried the 2-0 lead and a 31-15 shots advantage into second intermission.
St. Norbert had a pair of power-play chances in the first six minutes of the third period, but didn't convert. The Green Knights scored on their third power-play opportunity of the period when
Ava Jaschke scored her sixth goal of the season, potting a goal at 17:04.

The Green Knights had an extra attacker on for the final 79 seconds of the game but could not force overtime.
Adrian outshot St. Norbert 36-26 for the game.
Ashley Ommen made 34 saves for the Green Knights, while Sophie Goldberg made 25 stops for the Bulldogs.
St. Norbert was 1-for-4 on the power play, while Adrian was 0-for-2.
