ADRIAN, Mich. - St. Norbert College opened up its final series of the regular season with a 2-1 loss to Adrian College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Arrington Ice Arena.

The Green Knights (17-7, 11-4 NCHA) have now had all four league losses this season come by one goal.

Both teams skated to a scoreless first period but Adrian (17-6-1, 14-1) jumped ahead with a pair of goals in the second period. Kaleigh Cadorette scored at 12:07 of the period, followed by a Karmen Anderson goal at 18:54. The Bulldogs carried the 2-0 lead and a 31-15 shots advantage into second intermission.

St. Norbert had a pair of power-play chances in the first six minutes of the third period, but didn't convert. The Green Knights scored on their third power-play opportunity of the period when Ava Jaschke scored her sixth goal of the season, potting a goal at 17:04. Kelsey Ross and Lexi Bonfe assisted.

The Green Knights had an extra attacker on for the final 79 seconds of the game but could not force overtime.

Adrian outshot St. Norbert 36-26 for the game. Ashley Ommen made 34 saves for the Green Knights, while Sophie Goldberg made 25 stops for the Bulldogs.

St. Norbert was 1-for-4 on the power play, while Adrian was 0-for-2.
