STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College rallied from a two-goal deficit to escape with a 3-3 overtime tie against UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game at K.B. Willett Arena.
The Green Knights trailed 3-1 midway through the second period before coming back.
Natalie Hogan scored off a
Kelsey Ross assist at 14:37 of the second period to pull St. Norbert within 3-2. Ross then banged home the eventual game-tying goal off a
Morgan Olson helper at 18:13 of the second period.
St. Norbert outshot Stevens Point 12-6 in the third period and had a power-play opportunity in the five-minute overtime session but couldn't get a go-ahead goal.
Maddie Andrie registered a power-play goal at 19:30 of the first period to put Stevens Point up 1-0, but the Green Knights got back to even at 1-1 when
Jordan Moore scored on an
Eve Parker assist at 19:57.
The Pointers scored 37 seconds into the second period on a Courtney Leising Marker and then went up 3-1 at 8:37 on a Grace Torma goal.
Ross had St. Norbert's only multi-point game with one goal and one assist for two points.
St. Norbert outshot Stevens Point 44-24.
Brynn Waisman made 14 saves in 36 minutes of relief of
Ashley Ommen, who made seven saves. Olivia Schultz made 41 stops for the Pointers.
Stevens Point was 1-for-2 on the power play, while St. Norbert was 0-for-2.
