MEQUON - St. Norbert College advanced to the championship match of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament with a 3-0 win over Concordia University Wisconsin in a semifinal match at Buuck Fieldhouse.
The Green Knights (17-13), the No. 4 seeding, surprised the top-seeded Falcons 26-24, 25-22, 25-20. St. Norbert moves on to face Aurora University in the tournament championship at 7 p.m. Saturday in Aurora, Ill.
St. Norbert hung around in the opening set - never trailing by more than two points - before forcing ties at 22-22, 23-23 and 24-24. The Green Knights got the set-clinching points on an 
Rylie Gregg kill and an 
Alyssa Mills service ace.
Concordia held leads of 18-15 and 22-19 in Set 2 before the Green Knights charged back to walk the set home with a 6-0 finishing kick. Gregg got the run started with a kill, followed by a 
Lauren Borchardt service ace. 
Brooke Clement and 
Linnea Svennes then teamed up on a block and Borchardt came through with another ace to put St. Norbert ahead 23-22. A pair of Concordia hitting errors got the Green Knights over the finish line for a 2-0 lead.
In Set 3, St. Norbert's only deficit came at 1-0. The Green Knights took a 15-9 lead on an 
Erin Eggers service ace. The Falcons would get back to within 19-17, but a quick 3-0 spurt by St. Norbert gave the visitor some breathing room at 22-17. The Green Knights registered match point on a Concordia ball handling error.
St. Norbert hit .259 for the match, getting 39 kills against 11 errors in 108 swings. Gregg had 11 kills, while Clement and 
Molly Rader had 10 kills apiece. 
Heidi Colburn had 31 assists. Borchardt and 
Skye McGill had two service aces apiece.
Eggers finished with 20 digs, while Colburn and 
Kara Sowinski had 10 apiece. Svennes had three blocks.
Concordia hit .159, with 42 kills and 21 errors in 132 attempts. Sophia Collins led the Falcons with 10 kills.
