AURORA, Ill. - St. Norbert College reached its first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball Tournament championship match, but fell 3-0 to Aurora University at Thornton Gym.
The Green Knights (17-14) dropped a 25-17, 25-12, 25-15 decision to the Spartans. It was St. Norbert's first conference tournament championship appearance since 2019 in the Midwest Conference.
St. Norbert struggled to get much going offensively, never leading in Set 1. The Green Knights trailed 10-8 in Set 2 before the Spartans went on a 7-1 run to pull away. Set 3 featured an 11-11 tie before Aurora went on a decisive 8-1 run.
The Green Knights hit .034, with 25 kills and 21 errors in 119 attempts.
Brooke Clement had eight kills, while
Alyssa Mills,
Rylie Gregg and
Molly Rader all had five kills apiece.
Heidi Colburn had 20 assists.
Colburn and
Erin Eggers had 11 digs apiece, while Colburn and Rader had two blocks each.
Aurora hit .280 with 40 kills and 10 errors in 107 attempts. Vanessa Brown had 13 kills to pace the Spartans.
