DE PERE - St. Norbert College got solid play up and down its lineup as the Green Knights claimed a 3-0 win over Lakeland University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament first-round match at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

The Green Knights (16-13), who won by scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-22, advance to face No. 1-seeding Concordia University Wisconsin in a NACC Semifinal at 7 p.m. Thursday in Mequon.

St. Norbert never trailed in the opening set, going on a 4-0 run to take a 10-5 lead. The Green Knights had leads of 15-10 and 20-15 before cruising to the set victory. In Set 2, St. Norbert trailed 8-7 before going on a 6-0 run to take a 13-8 lead. The Muskies got back to within 15-14, but St. Norbert went on another 6-0 run to pull away.

The Green Knights raced out to a 12-7 third-set lead after trailing 6-4. The Muskies would battle back to take a 17-16 lead, but St. Norbert went on a quick 3-0 run to regain control. Lakeland would come back to 21-20 and 22-22, but after the Muskies scrambled to keep match point alive Brooke Clement finished the match with a thunderous kill.

St. Norbert hit .178 for the match, with 42 kills and 19 errors in 129 attempts. Clement and Rylie Gregg had 11 kills apiece, while Alyssa Mills added eight and Heidi Colburn added six. Colburn led St. Norbert with 25 kills. Lauren Borchardt had two service aces.

Clement had 17 digs, with Erin Eggers adding 16 and Colburn 13. Gregg, Molly Rader and Linnea Svennes had three blocks apiece.

Lakeland hit .056, with 29 kills on 22 errors and 125 attempts. Kelly Swope had a team-high nine kills.
