DE PERE - St. Norbert College overcame a couple of bumpy sets and rallied to a 3-2 win over Benedictine University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Rice Center.
The Green Knights (14-9, 9-2 NACC) topped the Eagles (12-11, 6-5) by scores of 26-24, 19-25, 11-25, 25-17, 15-13.
St. Norbert built fifth-set leads of 6-0, 10-2 and 12-6 before holding off a last-ditch Benedictine rally. The Eagles went on a 5-1 run to get to within 13-11, but a 
Lauren Borchardt kill brought St. Norbert to match point. A service error and a Benedictine block got the host to within 14-13, but a 
Brooke Clement kill pushed the Green Knights over the finish line.
The Green Knights trailed 21-16 in the opening set before a 4-1 run got them to within 22-20. Benedictine reached set point at 24-21, but the Green Knights walked in the set win with five-straight points. 
Alyssa Mills had three kills during the run, while 
Ellie Hartson had a service ace. 
Rylie Gregg and 
Linnea Svennes accounted for the other point with a block.
St. Norbert held a 13-12 lead in Set 4 before a 5-1 run pushed the Green Knights ahead 18-13. The Eagles would cut the deficit to 20-17, but a 5-0 St. Norbert run brought the match level at 2-2.
St. Norbert hit .222 for the match with 56 kills against 22 errors in 153 attempts. Clement had 20 kills, while Mills had nine and Borchardt eight. 
Skye McGill had 24 assists and Hartson added 20. Gregg had four service aces and Clement two.
Erin Eggers totaled 20 digs, while Clement chipped in 14 and Borchardt 10. McGill and 
Molly Rader had three blocks each.
Benedictine hit .236 with 61 kills against 23 errors in 161 attempts. Olviia McPherson had 19 kills and Grace Knutsen added 16.
