St. Norbert Sweeps Marian Behind Olson's Goal Record

DE PERE - St. Norbert College swept Marian University with a 4-0 victory in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game on the back end of a home-and-home series at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

St. Norbert sophomore forward Morgan Olson set the school record for goals in a season with her 18th of the year, scoring a power-play goal at 8:28 of the second period to give the Green Knights a 1-0 lead. Olson broke a tie for most goals in a season with Ali Parker, who had 17 goals in the 2013-14 season.

Eve Parker gave St. Norbert a 2-0 lead when she scored at 1:52 of the third period. Those goals would hold up until the Green Knights added a pair of empty-net markers, with Courtnie Hogan scoring at 17:43 and Gabby Holtz at 18:55. Parker's goal was her fourth of the season, Hogan's her second, and Holtz's her third.

Ava Jaschke had two assists for the Green Knights' lone multi-point game.

St. Norbert doubled up Marian in shots at 40-20. Brynn Waisman turned away all 20 saves for St. Norbert to record her third shutout of the season. Kayla Kolpitcke made 36 saves for the Sabres.

The Green Knights were 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Sabres were 0-for-3.
