Box Score LISLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College couldn't quite get over the hump in attempting to rally past Benedictine University, and dropped a 65-51 decision in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Rice Center.
The Green Knights (12-6, 8-3 NACC) kept a one-game lead atop the NACC with other results around the league with six games remaining.
St. Norbert trailed for most of the first half before going on an 11-2 run late in the period to take a 28-22 lead.

Garrett Grzesk and Bolwerk again all had field goals as the Green Knights grabbed a six-point lead with 1:34 left in the half. But Benedictine would score the last four points of the frame to tie the score 28-28 at halftime.
Benedictine (8-9, 7-4) would score 12 of the first 14 points of the second half over the first 8 1/2 minutes of the period to open up a 42-30 lead. The Green Knights would get back into the game with an 8-0 run, fueled by two Payant 3-pointers, but the Eagles would hold the lead. St. Norbert got to within 45-44 on a Bolwerk layup with 6:40 to go, but the Green Knights would go without a field goal for the next 6:07 as Benedictine pulled away.
St. Norbert shot 38.5 percent (20-for-52) from the floor. Payant led the Green Knights with 17 points, while
Carson Talbert scored 11 points and Bolwerk added 10.
Benedictine shot 42 percent (21-for-50) from the floor. Cade Ellingson led the Eagles with 16 points. Benedictine held a 38-29 rebounding edge.
