
DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored the first goal but couldn't hold off a high-powered Concordia University Wisconsin offense as the Green Knights fell to the Falcons 4-1 in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Schneider Stadium.
St. Norbert took the early lead when
Mallory Names scored her third goal of the season by converting a give and go off a pass from
Lizzie Guerin just 3:08 into the match. The Falcons would counter quickly when Karoline Haugland ran past the St. Norbert defense and finished at the 5:52 mark. Selena Esten the scored at 16:45 to give Concordia a 2-1 lead, which it would take into halftime.
Concordia would salt the match away with a pair of goals midway through the second half, with Allison McElwee scoring at 57:56 and Esten converting again at 64:17.
St. Norbert would outshoot Concordia 15-12, but most of its shots were from the far perimeter of penalty area. The Green Knights also had three corner kicks to the Falcons' two. Concordia had 15 fouls to St. Norbert's six.
