Green Knights Clipped by Pointers in Tight Contest

Abby ThompsonDE PERE - St. Norbert College fought UW-Stevens Point for 90 minutes but succumbed 1-0 in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (4-4-1) had a solid scoring opportunity just before halftime, but Abby Thompson's drive from the right side was turned away by Stevens Point goalkeeper Brookelyn Heiss just before time expired.

Stevens Point got the game's only goal when Gabby Dunn's chipshot from about 7 yards out got past the goal line at the 52:30 mark.

The Pointers outshot St. Norbert 10-9 and also had the nod in corner kicks at 5-4. The Green Knights had 10 fouls to the Pointers' seven.

Lilly Collins made three saves for St. Norbert, while Heiss made four stops for the Pointers.
