
PLYMOUTH - St. Norbert College played its first women's soccer match as a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference memeber and registered a 6-0 win over Lakeland University at Taylor Field.
The Green Knights benefited from a hat trick from
Hanna Lech, who scored the game's first two goals.
Lech scored at 11:31 on a shot from 25 yards out, followed by a similar marker at the 24:33 mark.
Mallory Names finished a header off a corner kick from
Katelyn Kane at 38:02, with the Green Knights taking a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Lizza Guerin then scored her first goal of the season off an assist from
Emily Names at 52:50. Names then found the cage at 63:36 off an assist from Kane. Lech closed out the scoring with a goal from about 20 yards out with an unassisted score at 73:52.
St. Norbert outshot Lakeland 29-7 and held a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. Lakeland had the edge in fouls 13-8.
Lilly Collins made two saves for St. Norbert to earn the shutout, while Haley Rich made 13 saves for the Muskies.
