
DE PERE - St. Norbert College women's soccer's returned to the playing field for the first time in 22 months and suffered a 2-0 setback to a highly talented Loras College side in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights gave up a goal in each half, with the Duhawks' Erin Rieckens scoring in the 36th and 59th minutes.
Despite getting outshot 15-3, St. Norbert's defense held up and kept the Green Knights in the game. Freshman goalkeeper
Lilly Collins made five saves in her collegiate debut.
Abby Thompson had two shots for St. Norbert, while
Emilie Harwood had one.
St. Norbert returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 4 when it hosts UW-La Crosse at 5:30 p.m. at Schneider Stadium in De Pere.
