
DE PERE - St. Norbert College scored 30 runs en route to sweeping Beloit College by scores of 11-0 and 19-6 in a Midwest Conference North Division doubleheader at Miron Construction Field at Mel Nicks Sports Complex.
The Green Knights (17-7, 10-2 MWC North), who won for the 11th time in their last 12 games, banged out 27 hits in the two games.
St. Norbert wasted little time taking control of the opener. The Green Knights scored a pair of runs in the first inning of the opener on a pair of run-scoring singles from
Sarah Koltermann and
Morgan Moxon. St. Norbert then scored five times on one hit in the second inning, with
Kayla Bahr's two-run double in the frame the big blow. The Green Knights added four runs in the third inning, getting a run-scoring single from Bahr.
Ellie Olsen threw a complete-game 1-hitter, with Beloit's Alyssa Morris spoiling the no-hit bid with two outs in the fifth inning. Olsen walked one and struck out seven.
Bahr was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and four runs batted in, including three doubles.
Abby Primus was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two runs batted in.
Morgan Moxon was 2-for-3.
Beloit scored two unearned runs in the top of the first before St. Norbert countered with seven runs on six hits in the bottom of the frame. Bahr,
Alyssa Sikora and Koltermann all had run-scoring singles, with Moxon adding a two-run single.
Taylor Ullman had an RBI single and
Allison Knop a run-scoring grounder to close out the rally.
St. Norbert added seven more runs in the third inning, getting a two-run single from
Abby Primus and a bases-clearing triple from Moxon.
Lilly Haase added an RBI groundout. The Green Knights added five runs in the fourth inning, getting an RBI double from Primus, a run-scoring single from Moxon and an RBI triple from Haase.
Moxon was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and six runs batted in. Koltermann was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Sikora was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, while Primus was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and three runs batted in. Haase was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in, while Ullman was 2-for-4. St. Norbert banged out 18 hits in the game.
Emma Wiese earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief.
