STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College gave up three goals in a four-minute stretch and couldn't recover in a 5-1 loss to UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game at Ice Haks Arena.
The Pointers scored three times midway through the first period to take a 3-0 lead. Sara Aadalen scored at 10:09, Nicole Neuberger at 13:12 and Gina Magro at 13:57 for a three-goal advantage carried into first intermission.
Stevens Point would take a 4-0 lead on Bella Moskonas' power-play goal at 4:34 of the second period.
St. Norbert would get on the board on a power-play goal by
Morgan Olson - her fourth marker of the young season - with 10:30 remaining.
Maddux Federici recorded the assist. The Pointers would salt the game away with a 4-on-4 goal by Maike Zipp with 4:13 left.
The Pointers outshot the Green Knights 35-29. Both teams were 1-for-5 on the power play.
Brynn Waisman made 30 saves for St. Norbert, while Olivia Schultz turned away 28 shots for Stevens Point.
