MINNEAPOLIS - St. Norbert College trailed 3-0 in the first 10 minutes of the game and ultimately lost 4-1 to Augsburg University in a non-conference match at Ed Saugestad Rink.
The Green Knights (1-3) fell behind when Augsburg's Gavin Holland scored 19 seconds into the game and Keenan Lund added another at the 1:02 mark. The Auggies took a 3-0 lead on Holland's second goal of the game and fourth marker of the series with a score at 9:41.
St. Norbert would get its only goal of the game at 10:27 of the first period on an
Adam Stacho goal with
Tim Nicksic assisting.
Neither team would score again until Augsburg's Fritz Belisle scored an empty-net goal at 17:26 of the third period.
St. Norbert outshot Augsburg 30-23, and each team went 0-for-3 on the power play.
Riley Kohonick made one save in making the start for St. Norbert, while
Johnny Roberts made 18 saves in relief. Jack Robbel made 29 stops for Augsburg.
