St. Norbert Rallies Past Pointers in Overtime

DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a goal from Morgan Olson just 20 seconds into overtime to lift the Green Knights to a pulsating 3-2 win over UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (8-2) continued their best-ever start to a season, and has won eight of their last nine contests since dropping their season opener.

Skating in a 3-on-3 overtime session, St. Norbert got possession and Ava Jaschke's initial drive was stopped by Stevens Point. Eve Parker redirected the puck and Olson poked home the loose puck into a wide-open net for her 13th goal of the season (see video below for the game-winning goal).

St. Norbert trailed 2-1 entering the third period, but ended up tying the game on Hannah Hickman's second goal of the season. Her marker at 4:41 of the third period came off assists from Parker and Natalie Hogan.

Stevens Point took a 1-0 lead after one period when Ashtyn Wiltscheck scored at 17:53. Hogan then posted her fourth goal of the season at 2:55 of the second period to tie the game at 1-1, with Parker assisting. The Pointers then jumped back ahead at 14:00 of the second period on a power-play goal by Nicole Neuberger.

Parker finished with a three-point game with three assists, while Hogan had a goal and assist for two points.
