OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College couldn't recover from a big early deficit and went on to succumb 71-40 to No. 17-ranked UW-Oshkosh in the UW-Oshkosh Classic at Kolf Sports Center.
The Titans raced out to a 27-9 lead after the first quarter and built a 48-17 halftime lead.
St. Norbert shot 38.6 percent from the floor, making 17 of 44 field-goal attempts.
Mary Cravillion led the Green Knights with nine points, while
Kaycee Gierczak added eight points and
Jessica Boerner and
Chloe Gruszynski six points apiece.
Gierczak and Boerner were both named to the All-Tournament Team.
Oshkosh shot 49 percent from the floor, canning 24 of 49 field-goal attempts. The Titans also drained 13 of 22 (59.1 percent) three-point field goal attempts. Leah Porath led the Titans with 15 points while Kayce Vaile added 14 points.
