St. Norbert Completes Series Sweep of Finlandia

HANCOCK, Mich. - St. Norbert College scored two goals in the first four minutes to take control and complete a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series sweep of Finlandia University with a 5-0 win at Houghton County Arena.

The Green Knights (5-3, 4-0 NCHA) won for the fourth consecutive game heading into a Thanksgiving weekend non-conference series at UW-Eau Claire.

St. Norbert wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, with Tim Nicksic scoring his fifth goal of the season on a score just 2:38 into the game. Liam Fraser followed at 3:44 for a 2-0 lead. Peyton Frantti converted a power-play opportunity at 17:28 for his fourth goal of the year and a 3-0 lead after one period.

Fraser cashed in again at 17:03 of the second period, his fifth goal of the season. Adam Stacho rounded out the scoring at 11:18 of the third period on his third goal of the year.

In addition to Fraser's two-goal game, Nicksic, Stacho and Frantti all had an assist to finish with two-point games. Peter Bates and Carter Hottmann also had two assists apiece.

St. Norbert outshot Finlandia 41-13, including 26-8 in the final two periods. The Green Knights were 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Lions were 0-for-2.
