STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College scored four goals in the first 10 minutes of the game as the impeetus behind a 5-3 win over UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game at K.B. Willett Arena.

The Green Knights (1-1) salvaged a split after suffering a 4-3 home loss to the Pointers (1-1) in the opener of the home-and-home series between the last two NCAA Division III national champions.

Adam Stacho put St. Norbert on the board just 2:34 into the game off an assist from Tim Nicksic. The Pointers would tie the game 1-1 on a goal by Brandon McReynolds at 7:35, but Nicksic would score his second goal of the season just 16 seconds later to retake the lead. Michael McChesney would cash in a power-play goal at 8:48 for a 3-1 edge, while Peter Bates generated a turnover and scored unassisted for a 4-1 edge just 9:37 into the game.

St. Norbert would hold that lead into the second period until Stevens Point scored on a Jordan Fader marker at 4:25. It wouldn't take long for the Green Knights to go back ahead by three goals on a Brendan Mark score at 6:03.

The 5-2 St. Norbert lead would hold up until Stevens Point got an extra-attacker goal from Nicholas Aromatario with 2:39 remaining.
