
DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a pair of goals from
Emily Names to rally past Wisconsin Lutheran College 2-1 in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Schneider Stadium.
With the match tied 1-1, Names connected from just over 15 yards out and cleanly beat Wisconsin Lutheran goalkeeper Sierra Kannas to the right side of the game for the eventual-game winning goal at the 81:06 mark.
Katelyn Kane found Names near the top of the penalty area, with Names burying the shot for her fourth goal of the season.
Wisconsin Lutheran jumped out early when Elena Velasquez scored just 4:20 into the match. The Green Knights wouldn't get the equalizer until Names scored when she directed a bounding ball passed from
Abby Thompson into the goal from directly out front at the 29:18 mark.
St. Norbert had the better run of play for most of the match, holding an 18-4 edge in shots and a 4-1 margin in corner kicks. The match was marred by 34 fouls, with Wisconsin Lutheran getting whistled for 19.
Lilly Collins made two saves for the Green Knights, while Kannas made eight stops for the Warriors.
