St. Norbert College

BJ Bryant is in his 11th season as the women’s volleyball coach and in his seventh year as the men’s volleyball coach at St. Norbert College in 2025-26.

Under his watch, the St. Norbert women have posted a 79-19 record in conference competition. The Green Knights have qualified for post season play in each of Bryant's seasons reaching the championship game of the women's Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament in 2022 along with semifinal appearances in 2021, 2023, and 2024.

The men's program, founded in the 2019-2020 academic year, holds a 28-66 overall record with the team's win total increasing each season since its formation. In 2025, Bennett Kornaus was named a second team All-NACC selection, while two have won All-NACC honorable mention recognition since the programs inception. 

Bryant helped St. Norbert return to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2016, leading the Green Knights to their first Midwest Conference Tournament championship since 2011, with a five-set win over Cornell College in the title match. St. Norbert has advanced to the championship match of the Midwest Conference Tournament in each of Bryant's first five seasons.

Bryant has also been involved with the USA Volleyball Badger Region High Performance/All Star program since 2008. As both an assistant and head coach since the summer of 2008 he aided teams to USA Volleyball HP Championship double gold medals in 2022, a silver medal in 2010, as well as bronze medals in 2016, 2015, and 2009.

Bryant was an elected member of the Badger Region Volleyball board of directors from 2011 to 2017, serving on the executive committee as the region secretary prior to resigning his post.

Bryant, a Brookfield, WI native, resides in De Pere with his wife, Sara, daughter Addison, and stepchildren Hailey and Connor.
