Former St. Norbert College standout Lexie Van Hiel is in her fourth season as an assistant coach in 2024-25.

Van Hiel’s on-court achievements over her career place her in rare company. She was named to the All-Midwest Conference first team as a sophomore, junior and senior following being named MWC Newcomer of the Year as a freshman. As a senior, Van Hiel was voted a first-team All-Midwest Region selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She also earned recognition as an honorable mention All-America honor, becoming the first in St. Norbert history. Van Hiel finished her career just shy of 1,000 kills (991), tallied 332 blocks, and hit for an astounding .306 percentage.
 
In addition to her work on the court, Van Hiel also excelled in the St. Norbert classrooms where she graduated with magna cum laude honors in education. She earned four MWC Academic All-Conference awards and was a frequent member of the St. Norbert Dean’s List. Van Hiel currently teaches second grade in the Ashwaubenon School District.
 
Prior to joining the SNC staff, Van Hiel began her coaching career as a youth coach and positional trainer for Top Flight and Fusion volleyball clubs in northern Illinois. In the 2021 club season she assisted with the 16-National team at Impact Volleyball Club in Appleton in addition to her JV2 coaching position at Ashwaubenon High School.
