Career: One varsity letter.

2020: NACC Scholar-Athlete. Spent time on both the left- and right-side attack over 61 total sets during the season. Posted a career-high 16 kills and .270 hitting percentage in a four-set win over Millikin on Feb. 15, 2020. Registered 6.0 blocks against NAIA opponent Cardinal Stritch on Feb. 28, 2020.

Before SNC: Was a member of the boys’ volleyball team at Preble for two seasons. Lettered in baseball as well.

Personal: Majoring in business administration with a minor in media studies. Hopes to work in marketing or business management post-graduation. Son of Dan and Val Loughney. Has one sister, Erin. Birthdate is July 13, 1999.

“Sean was a terrific addition to our young roster as an established upperclassman when he joined the program in our first season. Having been a baseball athlete at SNC prior, he understood the commitment and sacrifice needed to be a successful student athlete. He also did a lot to help ensure that our team dynamic was one of inclusivity and trust. On the court Sean’s ability to play an all-around game gave stability to both our offense and passing systems. Without a doubt his presence will be missed when he graduates this spring.”
