St. Norbert College

Before SNC: Four-year letter-winner at Bradford. Selected to the Badger Region High Performance team in 2019. Named to the 2020 AVCA All-America watch list. Earned two letters in golf. Completed his club career as a member of Southport Volleyball Club under coach Brian Sharkey, along with stops at Racine Juniors and Epic Volleyball Club.

Personal: Majoring in pre-medicine/biology. Intends on becoming a firefighter and paramedic after graduation. Son of Norman and Ronda Hoening. Brother, Jacob, plays lacrosse at St. Leo. Birthdate is Aug. 9, 2002.

“The athleticism Josh brings to the volleyball court is tremendous to watch. He is a big jumper, has a very strong arm swing, and covers a ton of space from a blocking perspective. Josh is a true ‘team-first’ guy. He is always willing to do anything, and everything, to find a way to win and help the team. He brings a strong sense of family to the program and is someone who teammates can trust at all times. I have no doubt that he will be a big factor in our program’s successes for seasons to come.”
