Matt Seidl is in his third season as an assistant coach with St. Norbert College men's volleyball.
Seidl currently serves as the head varsity coach at Kimberly High School where he led his team to back-to-back WIAA state titles in the 2019 and 2020 seasons following a runner-up finish in 2018. For his efforts, Seidl was honored as the Wisconsin Boys' Volleyball Coaches Association state coach of the year in both 2018 and 2019. He was also named a "30 Under 30" award recipient in 2018 by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association. The award, which recognizes up-and-coming young coaching talents, is given out annually by a national panel of coaches and volleyball educators. Under his direction at Kimberly, Seidl's teams have excelled in the classroom earning AVCA Team Academic Awards five consecutive years.
Seidl's club coaching experience began with the Wisconsin Volleyball Academy where he served as the director of operations for the boy's program and coached teams of various age levels. In back-to-back seasons teams he led qualified for the USA Volleyball Boys' Championships in the open division finishing 15th in the nation in 2012 at the U17 level and 10th in 2013 at the U18 level. Most recently, Seidl held the role of boys' club director for Fox Valley Performance Volleyball Club in Appleton, where he also coached multiple teams.
As a player, Seidl's career began at Kimberly High School where he earned All-State recognition as a setter and right-side attacker in the 2007 season. Collegiately, he was a member of the St. Norbert College men's club volleyball team during his time on campus from 2008-2011.
Seidl resides in De Pere and works full time in the financial sector.
