Career: One varsity letter.

2020: NACC Scholar-Athlete. Appeared in 63 sets across all 18 matches in freshman campaign. Logged 67 kills, 219 assists, 11 aces, 96 digs and 32 blocks on his way to being named team MVP for inaugural 2020 season. Posted first career double-double against Maranatha Baptist, with 23 assists and 11 digs.

Before SNC: Three-year letter-winner in volleyball. Also lettered in golf. Was a member of Club Palatine and participated with Pipeline Volleyball Club at the 2019 USA Volleyball Boys’ Open Championships.

Personal: Majoring in mathematics. Son of Gerald and Kathryn Rinella. Sister, Corey, runs track at Dayton. Birthdate is May 30, 2001.

His demeanor is calm and collected which helps to calm teammates in tense situations. He plays a complete game and can run the offense from the setting position or earn critical points with his attacking and blocking skill. As a six rotation player he is a stabilizing force for our team.”
