Ryan Petersen is in his fourth year in his second stint on the St. Norbert College men's hockey coaching staff in 2025-26.
Petersen, a 2009 St. Norbert graduate, captained the Green Knights' first national championship team in 2008 and was an assistant coach under Coghlin for the school's fourth national title in 2014.
Petersen was an assistant coach on the St. Norbert staff from 2012 to 2015. Petersen spent five years as an assistant coach for the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League. He also spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Lawrence University and one season as an aide for the USHL's Madison Capitols.
A North St. Paul, Minn., native, Petersen skated as a forward for the Green Knights from 2006 to 2009. Playing in 119 games, Petersen scored 34 goals and 39 assists for 73 points. He was the team captain in 2008 and 2009.
