St. Norbert College

Ryan O’Connell is in his first year as wide receivers coach at St. Norbert College in 2022.

Prior to his arrival at St. Norbert, O’Connell spent time at West De Pere High School in De Pere as an assistant wide receivers coach. During this time, O’Connell garnered a thorough understanding of the wide receiver position while working under head coach and former NFL quarterback Chris Greisen.

As a player, O’Connell walked-on as a defensive back at the - then No. 4 nationally ranked - University of Wisconsin in 2018. While at UW, O’Connell learned and developed under Defensive Coordinator and former NFL safety, Jim Leonhard.

A 2021 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, O’Connell earned his B.B.A. in Finance.

A native of Green Bay, O’Connell attended Notre Dame Academy, where he led his team to a State Championship finish in 2015 and State Runner-Up finish in 2016.

He resides in De Pere.
