DE PERE – St. Norbert College struck first but was ultimately held to a 1-1 draw with Lawrence University in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (2-1-1) struck early with an Everett Saeger (pictured) goal at 4:51, his first of the season. Hayden Dunn recorded the assist. The lead was short lived, as the Vikings equalized through Daito Sho at 24:13.
St. Norbert forced three saves from Lawrence's Christian Puebla but couldn't find a second goal. The Vikings ended the game with 10 men, after Alan McIntosh picked up his second yellow of the match at 81:08.
The Green Knights outshot the Vikings 14-7. Jackson Kiszka made two saves.
Non-conference play will officially conclude on Sunday, as St. Norbert makes a road trip to Carroll University at noon.
