DE PERE – Katie Guns has been appointed St. Norbert College Athletics Senior Woman Administrator, athletics director Cam Fuller said.
Guns, a 2015 St. Norbert graduate, is the head coach of the women's soccer team and will add a new leadership role.
"Katie is a tremendous addition to our leadership team and is deeply committed to our department pillars," Fuller said. "She has built meaningful relationships and understands the importance of creating an exceptional experience for our student-athletes. Her leadership, collaboration and passion will make an immediate impact across our department and campus community."
Guns had a decorated playing career at St. Norbert, still holding the NCAA Division III record for most career goals with 130 and is the only female athlete in school history to have her number retired.
"I am honored to be named to this position," Guns said. "St. Norbert had a tremendous impact on me as a student-athlete and I believe strongly in the work our department is doing to not only give students a great experience, but also a transformative one. The future of our department is bright and I am grateful to be a part of it."
