OSHKOSH – St. Norbert College opened its 2026 season with a pair of setbacks to No. 15-ranked UW-Oshkosh by scores of 5-0 and 2-0 at the RecPlex Dome.
The Green Knights, making their debut under first-year coach Maddie Fink, got a pair of baserunners in the first inning of the opener after
Elly Kirst (pictured) doubled and
Morgan Hansel drew a walk, but were stranded.
Oshkosh broke through with a pair of runs in the third inning and then added three insurance runs in its half of the sixth inning.
St. Norbert finished with two hits, with
Molly Reichenberger adding a single in addition to Kirst's two-bagger.
Addison Maurer took the loss, allowing two runs on four hits with one walk and one strikeout in 4 1/3 innings pitched.
In the nightcap, St. Norbert and Oshkosh battled halfway through the game before the Titans scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead.
Morgan Jarvi's two-out single in the top of the fifth inning got the Green Knights into the hit column.
Alyson Clarke took the hard-luck loss for the Green Knights, allowing two runs in three-plus innings pitched, yielding six hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
Addison Luebke finished up with three scoreless innings pitched, allowing two hits with two strikeouts.
