ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – St. Norbert College dropped a 5-2 decision to William Smith College in its second match of its Florida trip at Sanlando Park.
The Green Knights dropped the doubles point despite picking up a win at No. 3 when Madeline Diefenthaler and Ava Nankervis earned a 6-4 victory over Lizzy Legg and Anna Nigro.
St. Norbert collected two wins in singles play, with Diefenthaler posting a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Teghan Torrey at No. 5 singles. Meghan Bzdill defeated Nigro 6-2, 7-5 at No. 6.
Yesterday's match against Olivet Nazarene University and today's match against Bethel University were both canceled due to rain.
The Green Knights will face University of Scranton on Monday at 11:30 a.m. EDT at Sanlando Park.
