LAKE FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College completed a weekend sweep over Lake Forest College in a 3-0 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
The Green Knights (13-8-2, 10-4-2 NCHA) earned their second shutout of the weekend thanks to an early goal and two further goals in the third period.
Emily Bill (pictured) opened the scoring at 9:13 in the first period with assists from Tristan Wicklund and Anna Rausch, a score that held until the third period. Sydney Zurawick scored at 2:38 in the third period from a Claire Healy helper before Maleiyah Streck put the game out of reach at 12:48. Bill and Hannah Grabanowski recorded the assists.
St. Norbert outshot the Foresters 49-25. Keira Markell made 25 saves in the shutout while Lily Peterfeso made 46 for Lake Forest.
The Green Knights went 0-for-2 on the power play while Lake Forest was 0-for-4.
