DE PERE – St. Norbert College capped off its regular season with a 76-58 victory over Dominican University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Mulva Family Fitness and Sports Center.
The Green Knights (16-7, 14-2 NACC) took place of the second seed for the upcoming NACC Tournament and will host Concordia University Wisconsin in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday.
The two teams tussled for the lead in the first quarter until a 3-pointer from Reese Sellers (pictured) gave St. Norbert its first taste of breathing room. Four points in a big afternoon from Taylor Thiry in the final minute of the opening quarter made it 23-13. The Stars were able to close the lead to 23-18 at the beginning of the second quarter before a 8-2 run from the Green Knights made it 35-22. Dominican cut the lead down to 39-30 at halftime.
Rose Hahn, Thiry and Olivia Conway all made early buckets in the third quarter to lead 48-34. The Green Knights led by as many as 23 in the fourth quarter, with 11 Green Knights finding their name on the scoresheet by the end of the game.
St. Norbert shot 57.1 percent from the floor (32-for-56). Thiry had 25 points to take sole possession of fourth place with 1,322 career points. Kalina Winslow had nine points while Reese Sellers had eight points off the bench. Hahn and Conway had seven points.
Dominican shot 38.2 percent from the floor (21-for-55). Kennedy Yost led the Stars with 16 points.
